HERNDON, Va., U.S.: 3DISC, a provider of digital radiographic and 3D imaging and scanning technology for dental clinics, yesterday announced the acquisition of the company. With the support of private equity firm Galiena Capital, 3DISC will become part of the newly formed 3DISC Dental Connect. 3DISC is the developer of fully digital intraoral scanning technology.

“With this technology, we believe we are positioned to change clinicians’ practice towards better dentistry,” said Marie-Laure Pochon, CEO and president of 3DISC Dental Connect. “I am excited for the opportunity to expand the use of intraoral scanning technology to all clinicians and to bring 3DISC Dental Connect to a leading position in the market,” added Joe Harms, executive vice president for the Americas at 3DISC Dental Connect.

3DISC also announced that Mathieu Aubailly will continue supporting the company as chief technology officer.

3DISC founder Sigrid Smitt Goldman stated: “I am excited to complete this transaction and hand over the reins to Marie-Laure and Joe. I am confident that they will be able to create great commercial success on the technical foundation we have laid.”
